    Default is this sentence correct?

    are these sentences correct? thank you

    I will not be able to attend your party next week as I have already made plans to attend a dinner at a friend's place.

    I will not be able to attend your party next week as I have got plans to attend a dinner at a friend's place.

    "got" is unnecessary in the second one.

    As a cultural (not grammatical) comment, we'd usually just say "I'm sorry I won't be albe to come, but I had already made other plans."

    I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
