punctuation Which punctuation is correct?
1) I was not looking forward to the holiday, until I won a Mediterranean cruise!
2) Until I won a Mediterranean cruise I was not looking forward to the holiday
3) Until I won a Mediterranean cruise I was not looking forward to the holiday.
4) I was not looking forward to the holiday; until I won a Mediterranean cruise.

I "vote" for No. 1.
No. 2 does not have a period.
No. 3 needs a comma after "cruise."

Threadstarter / Original Poster Re: punctuation I think the semi colon in #4 is a possibility. Is there 2 'clauses' that can stand alone,on each side of the semi-colon?
