    Cool place of "better"

    Hello,

    Which is best here, please?

"I need help to build my sentences better."

"I need help to build better sentences".

    Cheers
    Will

As there are only two choices, you should be asking 'Which is better?'

There's no answer to that as they mean different things.

It depends what you need to emphasise: the building process or the finished product.

In the first, better is an adverb modifying build and in the second it's an adjective describing sentences.

    Cool Re: place of "better"

    Thank you very much Rover.

That was my first thought but then I got confused....

Is the first one grammatically correct? (Can I use it in an official document?)

    THank you
