I don't have any slang expressions for you but a couple of just standard phrases:
You are being so
petty about things.
close-minded
narrow-minded
small-minded
As far as your sentence is concerned you could use a nice little phrase like:
to nickel and dime somebody
ex. " He only owes you a dollar. Stop
nickle and diming the poor guy."
