Dear all,
Please go through the following lines
I did roles that required me to play a woman with a heavy soul. But now I'm playing girls who want to have fun: Ash
I can understand the meaning of above line. But how these words "required me" in the above line has been used. What is the grammar behind it.
Thanks

The grammar is "roles" (subject) "require" (verb) + "me" (object).
"Require", there, is obligation. The roles obliged/forced me to do something.
