    Default which one sounds better?

    Hi,

Could you tell me which one sounds better?

I just realized I didn't specify in which country those non-Canadian schools we are representing are located.

I just realized I didn't specify in which country those schools we are representing that are not in Canada are located.

I personally would like to stick with the second one if you could help me make it grammatical if it's not. Is "are located" where it could best possibly be?

    not a teacher

    I would prefer:
I just realize I didn't specify the country of those non-Canadian schools we are representing.
You have to define what you mean by non-Canadian schools though. Schools located outside Canada? Schools owned by non-Canadians?

"the country of those non-Canadian schools"?

That doesn't scan well for me.

Could our English experts verify this or help me with my original question?

Care to explain what you mean by 'scan well'?

It means it doesn't read well.
Look it up in the dictionary.
It's right next to "Don't let the door hit you on the way out".

    My two suggestions are above.

Is there any particular reason you replaced 'the country' with 'whereabout'?

Perhaps you don't realize how rude these last two sentences scan? Though, stringing them together in this fashion tells me you do. If so, you have some audacity biting the hand that feeds you!
