At the end of the sentence, and between a modal and the main verb are two common places to place an adverb, but there are others.

Don't you mean all adverbs can be put at the end of the sentences? I have learnt that there are some kinds of adverb which can't be put at the end of the sentence otherwise we use them incorrectly. And I remember adverbs of frequency are of such kinds, so the words 'always', 'often', 'usually', 'sometimes', 'rarely', ... are always put after 'to be' verb or between a modal and the main verb, not put at the end. I am not sure if I get the wrong thing from my bad memory and I hope to see your confirmation as well as other teachers' on this.

I've re-read what I wrote, and I can confirm that I did not mean that all adverbs can be put at the end of a sentence.
I would also agree with you that there are some that can't be put at the end of a sentence.
