Default admit and acknowledge
Dearr teachers,

Can I use "acknowledged" in the place of "admitted" in the following sentence?

Teh boy admitted picking up the purse. But he denied having killed the woman.

Looing forward to hearing from you.

No you cannot. You can substitute confess for admit.
