Does "farm report" in the following mean "TV news"?
Lasseter loved cartoons from the tme he was a little kid. Every Saturday, he was up at 6:30 A.M. to catch the first shows after the farm report.
Thank you.
No; it refers to the short early-morning programme in which news of interest to farmers was broadcast.
Context is always important; labelling is rarely important.

To be clear, the "farm report" is news on TV, and therefore a type of TV news show, but it wouldn't be called "TV News", which is reserved for the longer show, covering a variety of topics. Not sure which you were asking.![]()
Thank you all for the answer.
