Default Antonym help

We have to list synonyms and antonyms for our spelling words and I can not find an antonym for although!

I don't think it has a direct antonym.

Although it was expensive, I bought it.

If we change it to cheap, we could use something like 'because', but that isn't really much of an antonym, and it wouldn't work in many cases. I've looked for one and no antonym dictionary suggested anything, and I cannot think of one. ;-(

How about eventhough? Or is it spelled as two words?

Two words, and it would be a synonym (same meaning) not an antonym.
