Default Vocabulary Development Strategies Discussion Group

Hi

Another posting about vocabulary ... with this one just to let you know that I've now started an open group at

http://uk.groups.yahoo.com/group/wordsurfing/

The forum asks:

* Are long-term vocabulary development strategies ineffective?
* or are students simply unaware of suitable opportunities to independently improve in this vital area?

The aim is to provide an opportunity to focus on vocabulary development - and openly discuss the extent to which "organized notebooks" such as "Word Surfing" might contribute to overall language learning enjoyment and efficiency.

Any other positive suggestions to help language learners with their vocabulary development are, of course, most welcome.

Best Wishes ;)

Will

Hello again Will,

Any chance of a couple of links from your site? One to the home page and one to the glossary would be excellent!

If we could team up a bit, we could make you a partner site like english-test.net

How about it?

Regards,

Default connecting words and sites

Hello Red 5 & tdol

First of all apologies for the delay in replying - I'm really happy to link to your site as I think that the job done by yourselves and other similar forums is an excellent one - and something that I hope will be used by a lot more students as a form of practice, gaining knowledge making friends etc etc in the future. It'll happen, I'm sure. Anyway, for that reason there has been a link to your site at WS Forums
http://www.wordsurfing.co.uk/58128.html
since May of this year.......

The other place on the WS site where I'd be glad to put another link to your site is at WS Support
http://www.wordsurfing.co.uk/47352.html
but please only if you genuinely agree with what I'm trying to achieve with WS. Anyway let me know.

Your site is really good by the way - and I've been very happy to link to it without any reciprocation.

Ok, sorry again for the delay in replying.

Best wishes

Will
