    Default was/would

I am writing a short story and this is the sentence about which I am not so sure. Please would you tell me if it is correct.

"I was living not like ordinary people, in reality, but in some imaginary future where my dreams were going to come through, and I was going to walk the earth like an incorporeal being, and never feel pain or suffering."

I am wondering if I should use "would" instead, and write ...were my dreams would come through and I would walk the earth like an incorporeal being.

    1) Do you mean "my dreams were going to come true"?
    2) If you're going to change "was going to walk" to "would walk", then why not change "dreams were going to come true" to "dreams would come true"?

    1. I mean of course "true", I made a mistake.
    2. I am not sure what is the correct English in this case, with "was" or should it be with "would"?

In my opinion, they're both fine. I just think you should be consistent and change both of them, or neither of them.
    See above.
