    Default work right out of

What does the following in red mean?

Jobs ordered up a computer that sounded a lot like his 1984 Macintosh: It had to be easy-to-use, include a keyboard and screen, work right out of the box, and cost less than $2,000...

Is this saying "the computer should be able to be used as soon as it is pulled out of the box without the process of assembling or something like that"?

    Thank you.

If something "works right out of the box" it means it is extremely easy to set up. There's very little to do. I would go so far as to say that I would expect that you simply have to plug it in to the electricity supply, press the On button and that's it. You can start using it immediately.
