ON King's Cross Station

(1) Several days ago, a thread starter wanted to know what preposition to use in a

sentence such as "I met him ___ King's Cross [railroad] Station in London." I think

the teacher answered "at."

(2) I am too stupid to find that thread, so I am posting this in case she/he sees this

post:

(a) I have just read the most astonishing sentence in a very literate British magazine

written by a presumably well-educated British gentleman:

"The last time I saw her was in 1997 on King's Cross Station."

(i) I may be wrong, but I am guessing that it means something like:

The last time I saw her was in 1997 on [the platform at] King's Cross Station.

(I have seen in movies the magnificent London train terminals with their

platforms on which passengers wait to board their trains.)

I agree with you, unless:
a. Kings Cross Station is a TV show. OR
b. She was on the roof.
