    Default How long?

    Hello teachers,

How to ask a person the amount of time he or she comes late?

    For eg

A comes late for five minutes.

Is it correct to ask " How long have you been late?" ?

A: I have been late for five minutes.

    Thank you.

How long refers to the span of time that an event has been occurring. For example, "How long have you been driving?" The answers could be - This time I have been driving for an hour, or, I have been driving for 15 years.
A: I have been late for five minutes.
How late are you? I am five minutes late.

    Thank you.
