    Default I have problems using the right tense

    I have problems using the right tense, specially when it comes to using have and have had. Can you help, please.

    Please post some sentences that you are unsure of.

    I have an automobile (At this time I am in possession of an automobile)
    I have had an automobile (At some time in the past I had possession of an automobile)

    I have a headache (Now my head hurts)
    I have had a headache for weeks (The headache started last month and it still hurts)
    I have had headaches in the past (Some time ago my head hurt)

    NOT A TEACHER


    (1) I have gray hair now.
    I have had gray hair for 20 years. (It became gray 20 years ago, and it is still gray now.)

    (2) I have a headache now.
    I have had a headache for one hour. (It started one hour ago, and I still have it.)

    (3) The United Kingdom has a queen who is "a model of propriety and duty," says Time magazine.
    The United Kingdom has had its current queen since 1952.
