Hi Teachers,
When do we use the preposition 'from' with the verb 'leave'? Is it just because we want to point out the place, because the place is important to us?
Eg.
Look! The bus is leaving the bus stop.
The bus is leaving from our hotel at 8.
Thanks in advance

That sounds about right.
Remember, the bus will be leaving from the back entrance of the hotel at 8.
If you already knew the departure point, then you could simply say "The bus leaves tomorrow at 8." In that case, it's the TIME not the PLACE that's the key information.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
