    The movies of which I'm afraid are horror movies.
    Is the above sentence acceptable?

    Yes, it's very good grammar. But "I'm afraid of horror movies" is much more straightforward.

    I think that it is more natural if you say that you are 'frightened by' horror movies, or that they 'scare' you.
