    Default came together

Please set me clear on the following in red.

In the same way, the company reorganization and the ejection from the Lisa project---similar connecting dots--- led Jobs to the Macintosh. This, too, was another bit of karma, almost like the way the very first Apple came together in the Jobs garage.

Does "Apple" in the above refer to "Apple, the company," or "the Apple computer, the product"? And what exactly does "came together" mean according to the meaning of "Apple"?

    Thank you.

"Apple" in that context refers to the Apple computer. You wouldn't say "the first Company Inc."
"Came together" means constructed, built or made.

As it came together in his garage, it is almost certainly the computer.
And what exactly does "came together" mean ...?
Happened, came into being, was conceived and/or assembled.

Context is always important; labelling is rarely important.
