commentary writing

hello! i need help with writing my commentary for my original writing of a short story , wat exactly do you need to include? my teacher didnt explain, she gave it us in one fat lump, so she could lie down and relax ! appreciate any help bye for now xxxx

I dont know how you do it in language classes but in literature we write about the plot, characters and actions with their significant. How does the writer moves between the scenes ....... etc.
