    Default Sentence correct?

    Hi all,

    I'm the new guy.

    I have one question.
If a person says something to another person and I agree with that, is it correct to say,
    "Yeah, you tell 'em, mate!"?

    Thank you!

It depends on what they have said. If, for example, the person your friend is talking to has done something wrong and your friend criticises them for this, you could use it. I'd use it when someone has spoken strongly and I agreed.

That's great. We could do with a native Latin speaker here. I could have used you just the other day.

Welcome to the forums. You may wish to update your profile information as I think rather a lot of us will be a little suspicious of your claim that "Latin" is your native language. Make sure that your home country and current location are correct as well.

I agree with Tdol - if someone has rebuked someone or said something strongly worded or opinionated to someone else, and you agree with the sentiment, then you could say "You tell 'em!"

Thank you for the welcoming posts and the answers.
Yeah, the situation is exactly as Tdol said.

    About my language/country:
Sorry, I want to be anonymous.
I hope you guys can respect my choice...

    Thanks again!

I, personally, find it hard to respect being told things that are not truth.

You are free to choose any name you wish for yourself, and there is no obligation to reveal your age, marital status, gender, profession, etc. I do not see how telling us your native language, country of origin and present location (country only) reveal your identity. On the other hand, knowledge of these things does help us sometimes in framing our responses.

Context is always important; labelling is rarely important.

I agree entirely with 5jj. I would ask that at the very least you put your native language in. It can help a lot when we are trying to answer queries as sometimes we can refer to a similar language aspect in a learner's native language.
