Default recommend you a good tutor for you.

Some part of the underlined seems redundant, so I guess it should be corrected to
"recommend a good tutor to/for you", what do you think?

    from my workbook
ex) I know a lot of English teachers. I can recommend you a good tutor for you.

It is a frequent mistake to see "recommend you" when " ecommend TO you" is meant."

The original is not simply redundant. It's wrong.

    Your correction is right.

I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

Thanks a lot!! "recommend a good tutor to you" definitely works, but does "recommend a good tutor for you" also work as I can't find it in a dictionary, but I can recalling hearing it?

"For" is the person who will benefit. "To" is the person you spoke to.

I recommended a good tutor to Mrs. Smith for her son Jimmy.
