    Default on/at a most interesting spot/moment

How would you express the following thought:

TV commercials tend to pop up at (on ?) a most interesting spot in a movie.

    ?

    Thank you in advance.

I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

Context is always important; labelling is rarely important.

I would probably say "at the most interesting spots." There is never just one commercial break.
