Default "Could you"

Hi,

I would appreciate if someone can advise if the following sentence is correct ?

"Could you please now contact the school to arrange the admission of your child."

This sentence ends with a period instead of a question mark.

Kind Regards,
Lenus

Default Re: "Could you"

It is correct, because the 'could you' is a request rather than a question.
