Hello,
We use the Simple Past to list a series of completed actions in the past. These actions happen 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and so on.
I finished my homework and then went out.
I finished my homework and 2 hours later went out.
They are ok.
But:
I had finished my homework and then went out.
I had finished my homework and 2 hours later went out.
Are they ok?
Thanks...

I finished my homework, and so I went out.
We can use this way also, is that right?
Yes
Context is always important; labelling is rarely important.
