When someone has an accident, what we call the money they receive depends on whether or not the person was injured. If they were, then I would call it "injury compensation" or an "injury payout".
A related term (though only remotely related) is 'blood money' - payment made to bereaved relatives when a relation of theirs has been killed. Historically, this formed a part of many cultures. In English it persists only in expressions like 'I don't want their blood money' [when, say, a company offers compensation for an accidental/negligent death].
Note that in legal contexts, 'damage' often occurs in the plural. You don't, for example, cause damages (the word is usually uncountable), but a court can 'award you damages'

I believe the legal beagles call the money an injured party receives as compensation an indemnity. "Compensation" and "reparation" are the more common terms for it though.
