When I was at college in Korea, I had to submit a graduation thesis at the end of senior, but in universities in English-speaking countries, do you submit a term paper at the end of each semester? Do you submit it for each subject? And what kind of content does it have to be? Can you tell me something about it?

I can't remember doing any term papers in college. Then again, calculus, physics and circuits don't really lend themselves to writing papers. We had final exams instead.

In many subjects (History, economics, psychology, etc.) I had to write and submit a term paper half way through the term. A final paper, a longer and more in-depth, paper was due at the end of the term.
