You could try this:

1. The tongue goes up for L and down for R.

2. The R sound is something like the roar of a lion or a type of growl. That's if you exaggerate the R sound. Can you hear or imagine the similarity? Try it. There's a vibration just at the top of your throat if you sustain the R sound. The vibration goes by very quickly if you just pronounce the R normally. The vibration is almost like a growl or a roar if you sustain. Practice sustaining it, and then use it in a word. Keep your tongue curled and let it touch the bottom of your mouth.
