    Default Doubt

These men were worth training for attack . (Is it ok?)

I have seen many sentences like

    There is no denying.......

    There is no knowing.....

    There is no teaching...

Please complete these sentences so that it would give any sense .

If you have seen many sentences including those examples, why don't you post them here.

"There's no knowing what will happen to the world economy if the Euro collapses."
What do you think about "There's no teaching..."?

Sometimes it can mean that. Please post a sentence of your own containing "There's no teaching ..." and we'll have a look.

No. If I really wanted to use 'there is no teaching' for some reason, I can thing of two ways in which I could dou it; there are probably more:

1a. In our school, there is no teaching in the afternoons. That is when the teachers do their administrative work and prepare lessons. Teaching resumes in the early evening.
1b. There is no teaching of religion in state schools. That is considered the domain of the churches.

    2. (?). There is no teaching young Percy Postule. He either will not, or cannot, sit still long enough to learn anything.

Context is always important; labelling is rarely important.
