    Default water aerobics

    Is there a name for those words that end in 's' but take a singular noun?

    Are they considered count or noncount nouns?

    Words such as aerobics, physics, mathematics, etc are used as uncountable (non-count) nouns.
    Context is always important; labelling is rarely important.
