Hi all,
What do you think the source of error in this sentence might be? Is the word 'antiquity' the right choice to, perhaps, refer to 'how old a country/civilisation is?
The origional sentence:
'...the historical monuments can show the antiquity of a country...'
Thank you so much in advance!

"Antiquity" can be used there. If there's anything wrong in this sentence, I'd wager it's "the". It doesn't really work here because of the "can show" and the "a" before "country".
"Historical monuments can show the antiquity of a country"
