Hello everyone,
Would you please tell me how to say this?
( 1:17:42 p.m )
Is it right to say it this way?
( forty-two seconds past one seventeen in the afternoon )
What is the most common way of saying time when it has hour, minute and second?
Thanks in advance,![]()
1:17 p.m. (one, seventeen, in the afternoon)
1:17 a.m. (one, seventeen, in the morning)
1:17:42 (one, seventeen, and forty-two seconds)
Thanks, but what about this one?Is it wrong?![]()
( forty-two seconds past one seventeen in the afternoon )
I wouldn't use it- I perfer the order that matches the sequence- hour-minute- seconds and, like Cas, I'd use 'and' before the seconds. It's not wrong to say it that way, but which is easier to understand?![]()
