Hi everyone.
In order to answer the question: "How many people do you have in your family?" what should I answer?
"There are three people in my family, my father, my mother, and I." Or "There are three people in my family, my father, my mother, and me." Or are there any other ways better?
And if there are any mistakes (grammar, punctuation, capitalization, etc.) in my thread, please let me know.
Thank you very much.

"There are three people in my family, my father, my mother, and I." This is correct, but many people would use 'me'.
Context is always important; labelling is rarely important.
CAUTION: NOT A TEACHER
(1) I really believe that most American teachers would suggest using a colon or dash after
"family":
There are three people/persons in my family: my father, my mother, and I. / There are three persons in my family --- my father, my mother, and I.
(2) As I understand it, very strict teachers require "I" because it is in apposition with
"persons." That is:
Three persons (my father, my mother, and I) are in my family. (When we analyze a
sentence, we forget "there.")
