Hi ....
I sometimes become confused when I make some santences ,,,![]()
I always ask myself : " do I must use the present perfect or the past tens ?"
For example :
* I did my home work .
* I have done my home work .
* I collected the cloths.
* I have collected the cloths.
Which tens is the right ?and When I should use it ?

* I did my homework .
I'd use this when when talking about the past with no connection to now- when I was at school, I always did my homework on time.
* I have done my homework .
The present perfect has a connection to now, so i'd say this just after finishing the homework- I'm going out now as I've finished my homework.
Hi ...
Thanks alot tdol for explaination![]()

The present perfect links an action to now, and the past perfect links an action to a point in the past. For example, a few days ago, you asked a question about a sonnet. Let's take that as the point in the past. I gave you a website that was new to so, so before you posted (our point of time in the past), you had never heard of that website (before the point in time we are using).
Hi ...
