Default welfare / comfort / ease level

My teacher asked us to find this word.
What do you call the level that people's lives are measured according to that? It is not poverty line.
Maybe welfare / comfort / ease level???

    I hope it is ok.
    For example:
People's lives in this country are very bad and the quality is poor. This country is not developed yet and most of people don't have enough money to go shopping. Unlike Sweden where people have everything available and their jobs and personal lives do not overlap, in this country the people's ............................. is very low.

    [not a teacher]

"Quality of life" is slightly less common, but could be used here as well.
