Gathafi,Kadafi,Gadafy,Gaddafi ,Qaddafi, etc
Also, the name of the most famous Egyptian pharaoh:
Tutankhamun,Tutankhamon,Tutankhamen,

Teacher Re: the spelling of the Libyan leader People are unsure about the how to spell words that are not originally written in in the Roman alphabet, so they do the best they can.
Context is always important; labelling is rarely important.
