    Default well-seasoned

    Hi there

Could anyone tell me what "well-seasoned" mean in the following context?

"My mother gave me her long-neglected, well-seasoned cast-iron pan."

    Thank you very much.

Seasoning and Caring for cast iron cookware

Cast iron pans are "seasoned" by the application of greases so that the cooking surface does not rust and cooks without sticking.
