Hello everyone,
Our all-time problem was food.
Our problem was always food. The first one I read in the news paper, Is it corect, can we use "all-time" like this?
Thank you.
All-time usually has a meaning similar to record: all-time - Dictionary definition and pronunciation - Yahoo! Education
'Our all-time problem was food.' sounds unnatural to me, as if it were produced by a non-native speaker.
Context is always important; labelling is rarely important.
Yes - a non-native-speaker who wrongly assumed that 'all-time' was just an efficient way of referring to something that happened 'all the time'.
