Default two questions

Question one: Subject/verb agreement. Is is correct to say "My favorite animal is dogs, My favorite animal are dogs or My favorite animal is the dog?"
Question two: Comma usage with a relative clause. Is it acceptable to put a comma after "passengers" in the following sentence: "There were few passengers, who were injured."
Thank you in advance.
