Default challenging employee

Hi!
Is it ok to use the collocation "challenging employee" for an employee who promises to be very efficient and has many hopes put in him? If no,would you please tell me the right term?

Thanks a lot.

Hi CC,
I wouldn't use 'challenging employee' as this gives the impression that this person is something of a problem - possibly through attitude/behaviour. It might be more appropriate to use 'promising employee' as this suggests that there are high hopes for this person.
Hope this helps,
Dippit

Thanks for prompt reply, Dippit!

I was wondering if it was possible to use the word 'challenging' to describe a promising employee, because challlenging had "ambitiuos' as a synonym in my Thesaurus.
I guess I mixed up something again, silly cat...
