Default how to improve my listening english

my english has reached a certain level

and now it's very difficult for me to get improvement, even just a step

especially the listening

when i listen to the chinese speaking ,though they speak very fast,i can understand what they are saying and their meaning

but when i listen to the native speakers,i can not exactly catch what they are saying,i think they speak too fast even there is no short halt.so how should i do to catch them

I have two ideas.

One thing you can do is ask people to slow down so you can better understand them. Another thing you can do is get some audio tapes. You can listen to them as often as you want and get yourself somewhat accustomed to the pace of conversational speech. That should help some.

There should be somebody else along after a while to give you better suggestions. In the meantime, welcome to our friendly forum.

The following list of link is from our article Taking Control of the English Language

Listening On the Internet

If you've gone to some sites on the internet that have audio links and could not connect, it could be because you need this version of RealPlayer. http://service.real.com/faq/download...EMAL97.r1fw.en

You can use the Encarta online dictionary in order to hear how a word is pronounced:
