I want to express how I charge for translation.
I got two sentences:
“The number of words is calculated in accordance with the source language.”
And
“The word-count [for the piece] is calculated from the original document in the source language”
Which is better?
Do I have a third, better choice?
Do you mean that you take a definite payment for the number of words in the source language, no matter how many there are in the target text?
You can say:
"Translation charges are calculated based on the word count in the source text/language"
Yes, that's right. Thank you very much.
