    Wink what does this mean?

I came across this on facebook and it's written by a native speaker of English:

What I wouldn't give for a personal subscription to the Canadian Modern Language Review . .

What does it exactly mean? Is there a set phrase/structure here?

    Thanks

"What I wouldn't give for..." is a fixed construction. It means "I would give anything, no matter how high the cost, for ...", i.e, "I would like it very much".
