    Default air (out) clothes

    Is this understanding correct?
    1. air clothes - BrE
    2. air out clothes - AmE
    (I hung my pants outside to air (out).)

    I can't comment on the AE, but in BrE we don't use a preposition.

    correct, in AmE we say "air out".
