    Default recruting for ?

Hello Teacher, I always see job postings saying "We are currently recruiting for an Executive Assistant". Can I say "We are currently recruiting an Executive Assistant." Does one have to use "for" after recruiting?

Use the "for" to say what position you are looking to fill.

Without the "for" it says you are trying to get that particular person to do a job.

If you leave out the "for" in your sentence, it sounds like the recruiter is asking this one specif admin assistant to take a job (doing something else).

I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
