Hi,
I believe these are both correct - the difference is that "since" could mean a single ocurrence which has not continued e.g.
"She said she wouldn't go abroad again, but has since visited Australia"
whereas "ever since" implies a continuing state of affairs i.e.
"She went to Australia two years ago, and has lived there ever since"
