could you please help me again? I need to know what the text in brackets means:

He must notify the seller of the defect in writing within 7 days (as to which time shall be of the essence).

Does "as to which" mean the same as "according to which"? Or is it something else?

the "as to which" basically means "of which" in this case. some teachers would probably say not use "as to." The meaning of the parenthesised expression is "...and within that seven day period, time is of the essence." So don't wait until the 7th day to start trying to notify the seller. :)
