| I am having a lot of confusion with correctly using well or good. I’ve read that if something can be accomplished, it can be accomplished “well”. I’ve also read that if you are modifying a noun/pronoun you would you “good”. Which is correct? I hope your day is going well. I hope your day is going good. A good day can be accomplished well. Day would be the word to be modified (pronoun), you would use good. |

| Hello rosele, "I hope your day is going well." is correct, though "I hope your day is going good" may be just about acceptable colloqially. The modifer "well" applies to the verb, not the noun. It defines the way in which your day "is going" To use the adjective "good" you could say "I hope you have a good day" Hope this helps Mike |
