Are these sentences natural? May 4

Hi,

Are the following sentences natural to a native ear?

1. It must have been a fun working environment, mustn’t it? ( I was kidding with a colleague who is the leader of an all women team)

2. You hit right on. (I said this to a friend to convey that she said it correctly)

3. Is it your turn the next time? ( was talking with a colleague, who’s team takes turn at visiting client sites)

I see you're in Australia, and Australians have been known to say things that sound strange to AmE speakers' ears (like mine) so I'm hesitant to say it's unnatural or wrong, but most natural to me would be:

1. It must have been a fun working environment, wasn't it? or right? --Americans are reluctant to use "must" as often as
other English speakers, especially in tags

2. You're totally/completely right. --Your sentence sounds like our "hit the nail on the head" but we associate that with
correct assessments, which actually might also work in your situation

3. Is it your turn next? --Or even simply "are you next?"

I agree. You could listen to a lot of everyday American speech and never hear "musn't."

I think "Hit it" is better.

For sentence 2, I just thought of "nailed it." It's common in spoken AmE (and maybe elsewhere?) to show somebody did or said something exactly right.

A: Did I say that correctly?
B: Yup, you nailed it.

A: How did you do on that test?
B: I nailed it.

"I nailed that job interview today. I think I'm gonna get the job."
