Question passive or active voice

i have got mixed up with a question. there is a blank in the sentence that a gerund form of the verb "make" must be used to fill it. but i don't know to use an active voice or passive voice. please tell me which is true and why the other doesn't fit here. here is the sentence:
my uncle, who is a lawyer, has often dreamed about ............ a judge.
thanks for all.

Default Re: passive or active voice

I'd use 'making it to' here, but 'make' is not the obvious choice of verb- how about 'becoming'?
